Tail

A “tail” refers to a long, flexible appendage that extends from the end of an animal’s body. It is commonly found in many vertebrates, including mammals, birds, reptiles, and fish, serving various functions depending on the species. Tails can be used for balance, signaling, communication, locomotion, or as a tool for capturing prey or evading predators. In some animals, such as dogs, tails are also integral for expressing emotions. In addition to its biological context, the term “tail” can also refer to the back or rear part of something, such as the tail of an aircraft or a comet. In general usage, it can denote the part of an object that is opposite to the front or main section.
